Pearl Mantels features fine furniture quality, stunning details, and classic designs that will enhance any decor. Their clean-lined transitional mantel boasts subtle, yet elegant molding details that command the focal point of your room. Crafted from Grade A medium density fiberboard (MDF), a composite wood commonly used for furniture, cabinetry, shelving, and decorative moldings, this mantel ships in 3 pieces – 2 legs and 1 header – which attach easily with nuts and bolts. The appliqués are packaged separately in the carton.

For easy installation, the mantel comes with a mitered hanger board assembly and a 3-piece mitered scribe molding set to hide any gaps after installation. With a 1 1/2" projection off the wall, this mantel leaves a nice pocket behind to accommodate your tile, stone, or marble. The interior width is 56", the interior height is 42", the width from outside leg to outside leg at the base is 74", the shelf length is 80", and the shelf depth is 8". The overall height is 54", and the weight is 98 pounds.

Look for the pearl inlay that graces the right-hand side of the shelf as proof that you have received an authentic Pearl Mantel. Painted white and ready to install, this mantel requires easy assembly – simply attach the legs to the header and mount on the mitered hanger rail (included). Please consult a professional before painting or staining your new mantel.

To finish the look, the 3-piece scribe molding set is included. The 1 1/2-inch projection behind the mantel allows for easy installation over your non-combustible material (i.e., marble, slate). Secure the scribes around the opening to hide any gaps. All assembly hardware is included, but you will need to purchase hardware appropriate for your specific mounting surface (e.g., brick requires different hardware than drywall).

Please note that MDF is considered a combustible material, so heat clearances must be adhered to. If installing over a fireplace, check your local building codes and the manufacturer's instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove.
